Provident Unum supplemental disability insurance denied my claim when I got sick and could no longer practice as an anesthesiologist. They had no problem accepting my premiums, however, when I needed them most, they screwed me. I will never forgive them.

@turnersinsurance Most people buy insurance because they recognize the value. There is very little insurance that is actually mandatory. In Virginia, there is no requirement that you have car insurance in order to drive. But most people do.

Insurance is legalized extortion.There is mandated insurance In some capacity in every state in the united states.The lawyers and insurance companies practice the same fear and extortion tactics as AL capone and the gangsters of prohibition.Only difference lawyers and insurance companies paid off more politicians in higher places to set laws in their favor.All people that do such things will end up like Bernie madoff.see ya.

Obvious info here.Who does not think they need insurance.What are you going to do when you have at fault accident.Wait it will not happen to you. Right?Just like my wife will not get cancer, will not happen right?Are you going to pay all their medical bills, pay for their future earnings, pay for all their losses.How about this take insurance completely away & then you pay the bill,Good luck & good luck when your not at fault see how hard it is to get what your owed.

I actually have each client fill out a liability and asset calculator. it shows all assets future earnings potential and wage garnishment projections. that allows the client to see what exactly is on the line when they purchase insurance. so i do not commit malpractice. sorry that you see if fit to stretch the category into ALL agents. That is sad. You would have gotten more of a positive response if you said many or some..of majority…of agents…
